Works by Nadja Rossato are part of the “Million Euro Maritime Mural”, conceived by artist Debbie Wingham, which will be on display in the city of Puerto Banús until August.
The work of artist from Passo Fundo, Nadja Rossato, has been gaining more and more space in exhibitions abroad. The striking characters created by Nadja, full of color and personality, can be seen, this time, on the “Million Euro Maritime Mural”, on display at the marina in the city of Puerto Banús, Spain, until August.
Conceived by British multimedia artist Debbie Wingham, known as “the queen of the most expensive designs in the world”, the mural brings together reproductions of paintings created by Nadja, alongside artwork by Debbie herself, with various elements of pop culture, in a kind of collage inspired by the lifestyle of the city of Puerto Banús. The highlight, as the name given to the work reveals, is especially for the dozens of diamonds that make up the work, leading it to be considered one of the most expensive contemporary art murals in the world.
Art applied to the world of fashion
The artist from Passo Fundo, who has about 50 years of career, says that she joined the project after an invitation from Debbie Wingham herself, with whom she has been establishing a promising partnership. Together, they had already held a fashion show in Los Angeles, with pieces such as dresses and capes printed with the arts created by Nadja, a moment that cemented the work of the ArtNadja brand in the fashion world. As the artist explains, the brand was created in partnership with her daughter, Clarissa Rossato da Cruz, who specializes in the luxury market.
After working for more than 20 years in fashion houses and high jewelry, in cities like London, Clarissa decided to use her expertise to help her mother found a brand focused on retail, using the images of her artworks. “The idea of making applied art, in clothes, bags, mugs, came because I wanted to make the work more transitory. When it is only inside museums and only in the form of original canvases, it is not so accessible. You have to democratize art, with objects that are easier for the public to acquire. So we created ArtNadja”, explains Nadja.
The original canvases and objects with applied art can be purchased through Instagram @nadjarossato, by phone (54) 9 9710-7701 or in person, at the artist's studio in Passo Fundo, before scheduling. As for the international audience, the big news is that Nadja Rossato now has two physical points of sale in Puerto Banús, such as the premiere of Nadja Rossato's works in the world of cinema. Lithograph, watercolor, acrylic on canvas works, as well as a costume by ArtNadja, appear in a new film from Ruschel Studios, where Clarissa Rossato works assisting the art and costume departments. The feature film “Secrets”, which features Dani Suzuki and Emiliano Ruschel, is a Brazilian-American production and should be released in the second half of 2022.
Upcoming projects
And Nadja Rossato's international plans are in full swing. “After the mural exhibition, which runs until the end of August, I will also be exhibiting in international art galleries in Spain, and I will be part of a haute couture fashion event with one of the biggest luxury brands of all time”, advances the plastic artist, still without revealing further details.
For the next few months, the public can also look forward to the premiere of Nadja Rossato's works in the world of cinema.
